Microsoft Lumia 550 is not a new device. In case it is, let me tell you that it has already been announced in October when an event was held showcasing the devices that will be launched with Windows 10 OS. The Microsoft Lumia 550 has recent hit the American and few European countries market. The nano SIM offers LTE support and is the cheapest Lumia phone to be doing so. The phone weighs 141.9 grams.
The Microsoft Lumia 550 sports a 4.7 inch capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (~315 ppi). It has loudspeakers and a 3.5 mm jack slot. It has Microsoft Windows 10 OS and runs at 1.1 GHz with Snapdragon 210 quad core processor. With 1GB RAM, it has Adreno 304 for GPU. For storage, the phone has 8 GB internal storage and up to 200 GB external expandable storage.
Microsoft Lumia 550 is a dual camera phone with 5 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera. The rear camera has LED Flash, f/2.4, autofocus, 1/4″ sensor size, touch focus, geo-tagging and video recording at 720p@30fps. The front camera has f/2.8 aperture and 480p.
Apart from 2G, 3G and 4G connectivity in SIM card there are the usual wireless connectivity features. They are – Wi Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, FM Radio and microUSB. Microsoft Lumia 550 has accelerometer, ambient light sensors and proximity sensors. It is backed up by Li-Ion 2100 mAh battery that gives 60 hours Music Play, 16 hours talk time and up to 672 hours of standby. The handset is available in Matte Black and Glossy White only. The pricing for the Indian markets for Microsoft Lumia 550 is Rs. 9,399.
